"On the Spot" was started in summer 2007.

Sam and Cody were aimlessly bored one day with nothing to do.
They tried getting other people to do stuff with them, and would they? NO! So, Sam and Cody had the idea of making a new i-show. Not just any i-show though, it had to be good! So after looking up a whole bunch of random questions,

Sam and Cody got started. With a camera, a microphone, and a car they were off.
They started at Albertson's (as shown in episode 1) but they decided it wasn't that great.
So, they thought they would go to people's houses and have them anwser questions "on the spot".
